Indian Law—Plain English

All the legal jargon out there is giving me a headache—I just want something that tells me how crimes, contracts, and family laws are handled in India without sounding like a law textbook. Trying to learn the basics, but everything sounds like it’s written for law students. I finally stumbled on this article, https://www.bignewsnetwork.com/newsr/278413518 “How the Indian Legal System Works: A Layperson’s Guide”, and it was honestly such a relief. It talks about courts, types of cases, and even touches on fundamental rights, all in a way that’s easy to follow. It doesn’t talk down to you, but it also doesn’t get too heavy. Just a nice, simple explanation for people who want to understand how the system works without getting buried in legal terms. I read it in one sitting, and now I feel like I’ve got a much better grasp of the whole setup. Definitely recommend checking it out if you’ve been struggling with the same thing.

Really appreciate the recommendation! I’ll check it out this evening and see if it helps me make sense of everything.
